La Ragazza dello Spielpltaz

La Ragazza dello Spielpltaz è un lavoro di natura video concepito come un site specific per lo storico Teatro Valle di Roma. Il video è stato girato durante il periodo di occupazione dei lavoratori dello spettacolo di Roma e ricostruisce la mappatura del teatro come luogo fisico, attraverso un focus sulla sua architettura e gli oggetti che lo costituiscono.
La parola Spiel corrisponde all’inglese play, che allude ad un gioco rappresentativo, una messa in scena che qui corrisponde allo spazio del teatro e dell’immaginazione: nel video lo percorro, lo traccio, lo mappo quasi fosse uno elemento vivo, un corpo e corpo tra me e lo spazio del teatro.

The Girl of Spielpltaz is a video work conceived as a site-specific piece for the historic Teatro Valle in Rome. The video was filmed during the period of the occupation by theater workers in Rome and reconstructs the mapping of the theater as a physical place, focusing on its architecture and the objects that define it.
The word Spiel corresponds to the English word “play,” which refers to a representational game, a performance that here corresponds to the space of the theater and imagination. In the video, I walk through it, trace it, and map it, almost as if it were a living element, a body, and a connection between me and the space of the theater.
