L’installazione ambientale e performativa Pane e Libertà è l’esito di una fase di ricerca e studio sulle tematiche legate al Purgatorio dantesco e sulle dinamiche storiche della città di Conselice.
La terra nuda accoglie l’impronta del mio corpo assieme a tre pagnotte in gesso, che rappresentano metaforicamente le tre donne cadute di Conselice. All’interno di questa sagoma ho collocato la terzina dantesca dedicata a Catone, compiendo un’operazione metalinguistica di trasmigrazione di significati nella quale è la parola stessa ad essere esiliata. Questa dislocazione del linguaggio riempie il corpo vuoto abbandonato ed esanime.

The environmental and performative installation Pane e Libertà is the result of a research phase and study on the themes related to Dante’s Purgatory and the historical dynamics of the city of Conselice. The bare earth welcomes the imprint of my body along with three loaves of plaster, which metaphorically represent the three fallen women of Conselice. Inside this shape, I placed the Dantean tercet dedicated to Cato, carrying out a metalinguistic operation of transmigration of meanings in which it is the word itself that is exiled. This dislocation of language fills the abandoned and lifeless empty body.
