How to do things with words è un’azione di poesia sonora in cui performo dei miei testi, il titolo prende spunto da una raccolta di lezioni tenute nel 1955 all’Università di Harvard, da John Austin intitolate “Come fare cose con le parole” (How to do things with words).
L’atto performativo è strettamente legato al linguaggio dimodochè la poesia e la performance si incrociano e si alimentano attraverso il suono e la sperimentazione musicale. Durante l’azione cerco di sbaragliare gli echi delle parole con la concretezza del corpo ed impasto i pensieri con associazioni linguistiche e non-sens.
Come una dj contemporanea costruisco delle basi sonore dei miei enunciati, fisicamente mi muovo nello spazio tra il computer ed il microfono, che modifica la mia voce, come in una ginnastica sonora.

How to do things with words is a sound poetry performance in which I perform my texts. The title is inspired by a series of lectures delivered in 1955 at Harvard University by John Austin, titled How to do things with words.
The performative act is closely related to language, so that poetry and performance intersect and feed each other through sound and musical experimentation. During the performance, I attempt to overpower the echoes of words with the concreteness of the body and mix thoughts with linguistic associations and non-sense.
Like a contemporary DJ, I construct sound bases for my statements, physically moving through the space between the computer and the microphone, which modifies my voice, much like a sound workout.
